Name: Stephen Chard
Band: The 313s
Website: www.the313s.com
Profile: Stephen has been having weekly lessons with Lloyd for nearly four years. He had never picked up sticks before he came to Lloyd, but it didn't take long for him to attain the necessary skills and confidence needed to join a band. Within eighteen months, Stephen, together with Rob King and Dan Parkes, had formed The 313s (formerly What Are The Hours), a three piece psychedelic blues rock band. They have since been gigging regularly in the London and Surrey areas, and have recently garnered interest from a band development company, who recorded an EP with the trio in March of 2007.

Website: www.myspace.com/jryandrums
Profile: James first saw Lloyd at a drum clinic in his home town. After moving to London to pursue his drumming career, he contacted Lloyd to help him attain the necessary skills required to cut it as a professional in the capital.
James plays in a number of groups, playing a variety of different styles, aswell as hosting a weekly jam in Chalk Farm. He also teaches drums at Newham's Academy of Music and The International School of London.
Name: Paul Castleman
Band: The Mack Big Band, East Of Ealing, The Crane River Cajuns
Website: www.eastofealing.co.uk www.cranerivercajuns.co.uk www.mackbigband.co.uk
Profile: Having decided that fulfilling a life long dream of playing in a Big Band meant reading music, Paul contacted Lloyd in spring 2002 not knowing that Lloyd was, and still is, probably the UK's best Big Band Drummer. From not being able to read a note, Paul's now the drummer with 'The Mack Big Band' (Ex Ken Mackintosh Big Band) and regularly deps for 'The Thames Television Big Band' and 'The Richmond Big Band'. In March 2007 Paul fulfilled another dream by playing in the Orchestra for the St Georges Medical university student production of the musical 'Anything Goes'. Apart from Big Band Paul rocks out with his main band, East of Ealing, and is also the Guitarist in 'The Crane River Cajuns'.
Name: Zoe Read
Band: N/A
Website: N/A
Profile: I have been learning to play the drums with Lloyd for over two years including whilst I was pregnant with my baby son. He likes to grab my drum sticks and give the hi-hat a good bash!
Learning to play the drums from scratch is a hobby for me and a challenge. Lloyd has high standards but his lessons are always enjoyable. I have re-learnt to read music with Lloyd and we have spent a considerable amount of time concentrating on exercises to improve my drumming technique so I can play along to rock classics.
